The calling of a pastor is to lead God's flock by example, while giving that flock solid teaching from the word of God.

"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood." Acts 20:28

Dear Friends,

As the Pastor of Lifegate Baptist Church, I would like to personally invite you to come to see for yourself that the message of the cross of Jesus Christ is life changing. The services at Lifegate Baptist Church provide a traditional, Christ- honouring atmosphere; where you and your family can grow in your relationship with the Lord.

If you are unsure about which of the churches in Northamptonshire to attend, if you are new to the area, or you are looking for a new church home; we invite you to come and see that Jesus Christ is exalted and is at the forefront of all that we seek to do here at Lifegate. The Roles of the Family

It seems today that their has been a major breakdown in what the bible calls a family. Lifegate Baptist Church is a fellowship of believers that is trying to rebuild the broken down structure of what God established even before his church, 'the home'. It is important for children to grow up today with the foundation and knowledge of the word of God so that they can come to know Jesus Christ as their own personal Saviour. A Christ honouring home is one in which the parents know Jesus Christ and they are teaching their children to know the Christ of scripture. Without this biblical definition of the home, the family unit will continue to fall apart. Jesus Christ must be the centre of our home and the church.

"The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth." Isaiah 38:19

Pastor Tooley's Salvation Testimony

Pastor Tooley has known the Lord Jesus Christ for many years as he received Christ at the age of thirteen. He realised his need for Jesus Christ growing up in the United States of America. He was invited to attend a local Sunday School and it was there that he heard about Jesus Christ and his work on the cross. In 1979, Pastor Tooley turned away from his sins; believed in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and trusted Christ as his personal Saviour! Since that day, Pastor Tooley has had full assurance that Jesus Christ saved him from his sins and has given him eternal life in Heaven.

Call to the Ministry

In March 1983, while attending church, Pastor Tooley knew that the Lord was calling him to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. He surrendered to that call and dedicated his life to the Lord that day. Then, while studying for the ministry, the Lord impressed upon Pastor Tooley's heart to go to England to establish Independent Baptist churches. Pastor Tooley responded to this leading of the Lord and has since had a deep desire to see England flourish with Bible- believing, New Testament churches again. The goal of the church planting efforts of the Tooley', is to see a church established with a trained British pastor who would then take over the work as the church's pastor.

Pastor Tooley's Wife

Pastor Tooley and Tammy have been married for twelve wonderful years. Tammy trusted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour in 1994, after hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ preached in a church service Tammy is a wonderful pastor's wife, mother and servant to aide in the work alongside Pastor Tooley and the family.

The Tooley Children

Pastor and Tammy have been blessed by God with two wonderful children, ranging from six to nine. Their children play an important part in serving God within the ministries at Lifegate Baptist Church.
